What is commonly called a NADRA Birth Certificate in Pakistan?
The expression 'NADRA Birth Certificate' is widely used for the computerised birth registration certificate issued through a competent local authority such as a Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment Board. NADRA supports Pakistan's civil-registration infrastructure and uses verified civil records for identity services, but the local civil-registration authority is ordinarily the issuing body for an inland birth certificate.
Is a birth certificate the same as a B-Form or CRC?
No. A birth certificate records the civil event of birth. A Child Registration Certificate (CRC), commonly called B-Form, is a NADRA identity-registration document for a child. The birth certificate may be required as supporting documentation when obtaining a CRC or other identity document.
Can an unregistered or delayed birth still be registered?
Yes. Delayed registration is possible, but the authority may ask for stronger evidence, affidavits, verification, inquiry or additional approval depending on the length of delay and the applicable provincial or local rules.
Can an adult obtain a birth certificate if no birth was registered earlier?
An adult may seek delayed birth registration. Because the record is being created long after the event, the authority normally examines evidence of identity, parentage, date and place of birth more closely.

There is no single nationwide processing time. A straightforward existing record is generally easier than a delayed registration, correction or disputed record. The competent authority and verification requirements determine the actual time.
